Innovation and Technology weekly classes at Academy Of Academic Excellence (AAE) (Nov 2023 – Present)

STEM RVA has been conducting innovation and technology weekly classes from November 2023 at the Academy of Academic Excellence (AAE). The AAE is a prestigious private school in Richmond Virginia, focusing on delivering an exceptional education to elementary school-aged children.

Our 3D Pen and 3D Printing classes are a huge success, and we receive a substantial financial contribution from the AAE that will be used to support our cause of providing a quality education to children in Richmond and communities in Ethiopia and India.

The services of STEM RVA volunteers were greatly appreciated, and our team received positive feedback from the pupils of AAE and their parents. We are very thankful to the AAE’s Dean, Mrs. Busch, for allowing us to teach the students attending AAE and for supporting us and our mission.

STEM RVA team ran a book drive for about a month during summer in which its members went door-to-door in their communities to collect science books. We have also used our funds to buy new books.

We are excited to announce that STEM RVA team has collected over 500 books. We have donated these books to United Way of Greater Richmond and Petersburg, which will fill Little Free Libraries in front of local Elementary and Middle schools with these books.

Our books will be placed in 17 free libraries located in Chesterfield, Dinwiddie, Goochland, Henrico, New Kent, Petersburg and Richmond counties and will be used by hundreds of kids. Our donation will promote science learning and research in young kids. To find out more information about this initiative and it’s impact to communities, please visit the United Way of Greater Richmond and Petersburg – https://www.yourunitedway.org/volunteer/little-free-libraries/
